Powerslide Marathon Inline Skates Review - YouTube
src: i.ytimg.com

The powerslide is a braking method used in inline skating where both skates are quickly moved to a position perpendicular to the moving direction of the skater. While braking in this way is quite common in ice skating (where this is called stop hockey), any irregularity on the surface can make a beginner skater player easily lose balance and fall.

Powerlide offers an effective way to stop within short distances to skaters because sophisticated friction wheels occur on the surface. Whatever it is, it causes wear and tear on the wheels, can cause the wheel unevenly, and can only be done with definitive success when the surface is familiar to the skater.

Technique

Powerlide forward or full frontal powerslide starts with skating skaters forward and spins sideways to stop. In the force backwards, the skater starts to slide backward. A roundhouse powerslide starts with a skating skater either forward or backward, rotates to face the opposite, and in the same movement executes a powerslide.
