Vanja Yorgason Watkins (born 1938) is a prolific writer of hymns at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). He composed music for "Press Forward Saints" and "Families Can Be Together Forever", a hymn that appeared in the English-language English hymn of 1985 from the LDS Church. He also wrote music to a number of songs in the Primary Children's Songbook , including 13 songs "Articles of Faith".
Watkins holds a bachelor's and master's degree from Brigham Young University (BYU). He has served on the Primary council, the General Music Committee of the church, and has been the stake Primary president and stake Relief Society president. He taught music in public schools in Ogden and Salt Lake City and then at BYU.
Watkins is married to Jack B. Watkins, with whom he has five children.
Watkins contributed 27 works to Children's Songbook .
