Guns gun is a weapon component used to attach weaponry to stabilization. The weapon mounts can be broken down into two categories: static mounts and non-static mounts.

Static mount

A static mountain is a non-portable weapon supporting component used in self-propelled vehicles.

Turret

The spear gun protects the crew or weapon mechanism and at the same time allows weapons to be directed and fired in different directions.

Turret is a rotating weapon platform. These can be mounted on buildings or fortified structures such as beach artillery batteries, or on armored combat vehicles, naval vessels, or military aircraft.

Turret may be armed with one or more machine guns, automatic cannons, large caliber rifles, missile launchers, and recently energized energy-gun and Laser Weapon System. It can be monitored or controlled remotely, and often sewn. A small turret, or sub-turret on a larger one, is called cupola . The term cupola also describes playing a turret that does not carry a weapon but instead sees the device, as in the case of a tank commander. A finial is a very small sub-turret or sub-sub-turret mounted on a dome turret.

The protection provided by the turret may be against battle damage or against the weather, conditions and environment in which the weapon or its crew operates.

Coaxial

A coaxial mount is mounted next to the main weapon and thus points to the same general direction as the main armament, relying on the turret's ability to traverse to alter the arc. The term coaxial is a misnomer because the arrangement is often paraxial (ie the parallel axis, as opposed to the same axis).

Almost all major combat tanks and most infantry combat vehicles have coaxial machine guns mounted to light along the parallel axis to the main gun. Coaxial weapons are usually aimed by using the control of the main weapon. Usually used to involve infantry or other "soft" targets when major weapon damage damage will be excessive, or to save on major weapons ammunition.

Some weapons such as M40 and LEGAL 80 rifles have smaller ceramic caliber guns installed in coaxial mode on the barrel of the weapon, allowing the operator to visualize where the main weapon projectiles will hit.

Fixed

A fixed mount can not be moved against the vehicle. Vehicles must move to change the direction of fire. The mounts remain most commonly found in the aircraft, and most often point their weapons forward, along the vector of the motion of the aircraft, so that the pilot can direct and direct at the same time. Some small plane designs use different concepts of fixed mounts, such as those found in SchrÃÆ'¤ge Music or AC-47 Spooky. Stridsvagn 103 is a premier turret-less mainstream tank with fixed main weapons aimed at tracks and suspension of tanks.

Pintle

A pintle mount is a fixed mount that allows the gun to pass freely and/or elevated while keeping the gun in a fixed position. It is most commonly found in armored vehicles, bomber shooter stations, and combat helicopters. Unlike turrets, pintle has little or no armor protector.

Swing Arm

A mountain swing is a fixed mountain that allows a much larger and more flexible arc of a simple pintle mounting system. Utilizing an articulated one or two arm system, the shooter can swing a weapon through a wide arc even though the position of the shooter remains relative to the mount. The system varies in the complexity of the simple arm, to the double arm with the ability to lock the weapon in a firing position.

Land holder

The ground mount is a sub-class mounted weapon that is portable.

Monopod

Monopod has one leg and does not provide stability along the axis of motion coordination. Monopods have the advantage of being lightweight and compact even when used in firing mode does not have enough stability to use with large firearms. Monopods are commonly used in short-barreled precision firearms. They are also used as a "nail butt" as a back support on a precision rifle.

Bipod

A bipod has two legs and provides stability along the axis of the left-to-right coordinate movement.

Bipod allows operators to lay down weapons on the ground, low walls, or other objects, reducing operator fatigue and allowing increased accuracy.

Bipoda can have a fixed length or can be adjusted. Those with higher quality can be tilted and also have a slope point close to the central axle of bore, allowing the weapon to tilt to the left and to the right in small amounts, allowing a quick horizontal view of the image on uneven ground and keeping the operator close to the ground. Bipoda is mostly folded forward, not backward.

Tripod

The tripod has three legs and provides stability along the axis of left-to-right and forward-to-back coordinate movement. Tripods have losses due to weight and magnitude although when used in firing mode it has enough stability to use with large firearms. Tripod is usually used on fast firearms and long barrel.

Tripod allows the operator to rest the weapon on the ground and thus the gun feels lighter for the shooter and the accuracy is improved.

Another form of tripod is a tripod pistol grip. The tripod pistol grip provides an advanced vertical hand grip plus an important tripod slide out. It's attached to the gun by picatinny rail. The tripod legs can be used by pressing a button and can be pushed back into the vertical grip.

Shooting stick

The shooting stick is a portable weapon holder used by field shooters, such as hunters, snipers and black black powder rifle shooters, similar to a bipod or a tripod, with two or three legs.

In firearms, shooting rods are commonly used on rifles to provide forwards and reduce movement. The shooting stick allows the operator to rest the weapon on the ground, low walls, or other objects, reducing operator fatigue and allowing increased accuracy.

The shooting can be either fixed or adjustable length and can be a homemade product by their operator or factory product.
