Jarnell D'Marcus Stokes (born January 7, 1994) is the last professional American basketball player to play for the Zhejiang Golden Bulls of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He played basketball at the University of Tennessee. He is one of the high school players in the 2012 class. He was elected with a total of the 35th pick in the NBA draft 2014 by Utah Jazz, and then traded to the Memphis Grizzlies.

College career
Stokes played three college seasons at the University of Tennessee, averaging 13.0 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.08 blocks at.530 filming at 29.7 minutes in 87 matches. He left the fourth ranked Volunteers in school history in double-doubles (40), eighth in total rebounds (836) and 14 in blocks (94). He also leads the SEC in offensive rebounds in 2013 and 2014.
Professional career
Memphis Grizzlies (2014-2015)
On June 26, 2014, Stokes was elected by selecting the 35th overall in the 2014 NBA draft by Utah Jazz. He was then sold to the Memphis Grizzlies on a draft night. In July 2014, he joined the Grizzlies for the NBA 2014 Summer League before proceeding to sign a multi-year contract with the franchise on August 18, 2014. On December 3, 2014, he scored a season-high 12 points in loss to the Houston Rockets. During the rookie season, he has many tasks with Iowa Energy from the NBA Development League.
Miami Heat (2015-2016)
On November 10, 2015, Stokes traded, along with Beno Udrih, to the Miami Heat in return for Mario Chalmers and James Ennis. The move brings him back with former Tennessee teammate Josh Richardson. On January 20, 2016, he made his debut for the Heat in a 106-87 loss on the Washington Wizards, scoring four points in five minutes.
During the sophomore season, he received several assignments to Sioux Falls Skyforce, a D-League Heat affiliate. On January 29, 2016, he was named in the East All-Star team for the NBA D-League All-Star Game 2016.
On February 18, 2016, Stokes traded, along with cash considerations, to New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for a conditional round of 2018 rounds. He was released by Pelikan the next day.
Sioux Falls Skyforce (2016)
On February 27, 2016, Stokes was acquired by Sioux Falls Skyforce. He helped Skyforce win 40 D-League NBA matches in 2015-16, securing first seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. In 28 regular season games, he averaged a team high of 20.6 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. He then won the league MVP award. Stokes went on to help Skyforce end the historic season with the playoffs ending in a 2-1 Finals victory over Los Angeles D-Fenders. He added to his regular season MVP award by collecting the MVP Final, and getting the All-NBA D-League Main Team award.
Denver Nuggets (2016)
In July 2016, Stokes joined the San Antonio Spurs for the NBA Summer League 2016. On 15 September 2016, he signed a contract with the Denver Nuggets. On November 15, 2016, he was released by the Nuggets after appearing in two games.
Return to Sioux Falls (2017)
On March 23, 2017, Stokes was bought back by Sioux Falls Skyforce.
