Simon was at his father's funeral in Toronto, Canada. He gets into the car to return to the funeral home, but the driver tells him that he has instructions to fly Simon to a baseball game in Detroit. Simon goes to the game, where he is summoned by his boss, D. Gibbons, who tells him to wear the ring. He did it, and the blackout happened, all the spectators at the stadium lost consciousness, while Simon remained awake. Gibbons told Simon to go to the nearest exit. He did so, and through a security tape, he proved "Zero suspect". The driver, Victor and Flosso are waiting for him. Flosso and Gibbons steered the FBI away from discovering what caused the blackout to try to find out who the "Zero Suspects" were. Flosso asked for the ring back, and left Victor to bring Simon back home. Before leaving, Flosso tells Simon that he's sorry for what he called a "hunting accident" that Simon's dad had. Simon realizes that Victor, who murdered his father and strangled him to death, decides to use the murder as his "sight".
Nicole and Bryce
Nicole and Bryce went to the coffee shop, where Nicole would talk to Timothy. Nicole asks Bryce for a dime and puts it in her backpack. Nicole told Timothy of his vision to be drowned by someone, and Timothy told him that he might be baptized, and that he was unconscious, not dead. He tells her that vision is only their little clip of their future, and when they see the big picture, they will fully accept it, because, as it is now, it is not free will versus fate, it is free will and destiny work together to bring them to where they should be in the future. That night, Bryce decided to meet Nicole's mother, who was crazy. Bryce noticed that all the money he got was for mom, who put them to the wall, but only marked 1989 , which is the birth year of Nicole, and the wall is a tribute to her. Bryce asks him if he thinks God is causing a power outage. He says that he receives hallucinations every day, and no one believes him, but what people think is coincidence is really God doing his job. Then, Bryce meets with Timothy, asking him what he's trying to sell to Nicole because he does not want her to get hurt. Timothy explains that he's only doing what he believes will make him know what he's doing in the future: being a religious speaker.
FBI
Marshall and Demetri find the location of an EMT phone, which will direct them to a stolen ambulance, which will lead them to where Lloyd and Simon are held captive. When Demetri, Janis, Marshall, and the SWAT team entered the building, they did not find Simon and Lloyd, but they found the vehicle. One of the officers opened the back of the vehicle, only to find it triggered with a bomb. The bomb exploded, killed officers and destroyed the vehicle. Marshall informs Demetri that the bomb troops found the code for the bomb: it was the frequency of the bureau, which meant it was triggered by their walkie-talkies when they entered the building.
Mark
When Mark leaves "Red Panda Industries", he finds the "Crown Cheese Steak" flier on his windshield, and remembers seeing one with the words "HELP US" written in blood in his vision. He goes to the restaurant, and finds nothing, but he knows that the restaurant is in a new location, the old one has been burned during a power outage. Mark then travels to the original location. Meanwhile, Flosso comes with Wheeler and Quarny, telling Lloyd that he knows about his son, and if he does not tell him how many electron voles are generated during their experiment, they will kill Dylan. Lloyd gives him an answer, and Flosso goes to tell Quarny and Wheeler to get rid of them. Meanwhile, Mark arrives at the restaurant but is locked up. As Mark is about to leave, he remembers something different from his flashes: when he shouts at Lloyd, he tells him that he hopes Lloyd stands behind the eight ball when he falls. Mark then realizes that there is an eight-ball spray painted on the door to the restaurant. Mark drives back to the restaurant, and the back of his car through the door, like Wheeler and Quarny takes Lloyd and Simon out of the basement. Quarny stays behind to deal with Mark, while Wheeler tries to escape. Simon takes the Wheeler pistol and chases him outside, where he shoots his head, kills him. Meanwhile, Mark attacks Quarny and hits him until he is unconscious to slap his wife's face. The next day, Mark took Lloyd to the office to question him about not telling the FBI what he heard in his flash. Lloyd said that he thought talking to a drunken man on the phone in his vision did not seem important.
Simon
When Simon was put in an ambulance, recently after killing Wheeler, in the waiting vehicle there was Flosso, who told Simon that he was still under his control, and if he did not stop working for the FBI, he would tell the FBI about Simon being "Zero suspect". The next day, after Olivia treats Simon's wound, Janis tells him that she can not go anywhere because she will be watched for being almost attacked. Simon, suddenly, begins to have an allergic reaction from the pills Olivia has given him. Janis went to seek help, but Simon, apparently, faked him, and boarded a plane to Toronto. But he was greeted by Janis and some members of the SWAT team, who brought him back to LA Simon asking him to let him stay, saying his family needed him because his sister Annabelle had fled since the blackout and she had come home every month to look for her. Janis called Wedeck to stay in Toronto for the night, and the reason was that she thought Simon was there for another reason. Janis puts a security clamp around Simon's ankle, and then Simon brings Janis back into place. That night, Simon ran away from home by putting tin foil in his security brace, so Janis could not catch it. Simon arrives at the home of a man named Phillip, who is Simon's professor in quantum physics. He is also an advisor to Simon's design of "pulsed lasers specifically for plasma afterburners" in the Ganwar region of Somalia.
Janis found it again, because Simon had made ten phone calls to Phillip in a month. Simon comes to see Phillip to see if there is a possible way to protect people from other outages, which Phillip claims is impossible. That night, Uncle Simon Teddy, who turns out to be Flosso, arrives for dinner, both pretending not to see each other during the interrogation. After dinner Annabelle called home telling her mother that she wanted to go home. Janis calls the FBI to keep track of the location of the phone call. Flosso showed Simon on his cell phone that Annabelle was held at gunpoint by his men and was reading the script for her mother. Flosso brings Simon out and shows Phillip's body behind the car. Flosso gave Simon one last warning: stop working for the FBI or they would send Annabelle back to Simon, piece by piece. Simon knew that Flosso needed him for something, and in anger pushed him to the ground. Simon knew Uncle Flosso was suffering from emphysema, and with this knowledge, Simon pressed Flosso's chest, causing him shortness of breath, and after a while he died. Simon then tells him that no one has mastered it, and no one toying with his father or sister. Simon goes on to tell the story that he's trying to save his life by using CPR, then the signs on Flosso's chest.
