Plot

The story centers around Lucille Ball, playing against a military academy background filled with lively boys. Ball is a reluctant guest of a small cadet, Bud Hooper, who writes to him a "mash note" and an invitation to be his date at a school party.

The ball ball publicity, Jack O'Riley, took over the situation as a perfect PR action, and convinced him to travel 3,000 miles to join Hooper in the Winsocki Military Academy. When the Ball really does show up, there is chaos. Hooper, who never dreamed he would accept, had to persuade his girlfriend, Helen Schlesinger, and ask Ball to pretend to be Helen, if the actress herself did not graduate with the institute review committee.

Helen fights while Hooper tries to keep Ball out of the grip of another cadet who wants to steal it herself. Meanwhile, Harry James and his orchestra performed various songs, including "The Flight of the Bumbeeee". The performers also sang and danced in their way through numbers such as "Buckle Down, Winsocki" (songs co-opted in 1960 for "Buckle Up for Safety"), "Wish I May", "Three Men on a Date", "Alive and Kickin '"," The Barrelhouse, Boogie-Woogie, and The Blues ", and" Ev'ry time ". (CD soundtrack also includes a snippet of "What Do You Think I Am?".)
