FOB Shank (IATA: OAA , ICAO: OASH , also known as Firebase Shank ) is front operation of the US military, located in Logar province in eastern Afghanistan, about 12 km southeast of the town Baraki Barak.

In July 2008, it was home to the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) who actively supported Afghan National Security Forces by training Afghan National Police. The Police Academy, led by the US Mentoring Police Training team, is working every day with the Czech Province Reconstruction Team, which consists of 200 Czech Army and about 10 civilians.

These efforts focus on training Afghan National Police Forces to become ANP members.

On July 8, 2008 Czech and Afghan instructors were teaching the fourth cadet group at the Academy. Each group attended a three-week cycle that included first aid care, tactics, patrols, weapons training, vehicle-inspection procedures and many other police-related subjects. The practical part of the training also includes scenarios in which cadets are ambushed by simulated opposition forces.

During 2014 the base was downsized by Engineer 858, Engineer Battalion 223 and expected to be submitted to ANA before early 2014.

The last few convoys containing equipment from FOB Shank back to Bagram Air Base were completed during October 2014 by Transportation Company 730, 419 Combatant Defense Battalion 419, Resolution Recovery Support Brigade 4.
